Troy is a first-class fitter/machinist. Completing his apprenticeship at one of Newcastle’s largest engineering companies Forgacs Engineering, Troy worked his way up from a young apprentice to Production Manager.
With his extensive experience in running a large engineering firm, it was natural for Troy to look after the day to day running of HVT’s workshop. Troy brings a high level of innovative thinking to the team, which has enabled us to rebuild faster and more efficiently, using state-of-the-art equipment.
After completing his Fitter/Machinist apprenticeship at Tomago Aluminum, Michael joined his family’s Engine Reconditioning business “Dr MAK” for seven years, learning vital skills in business management. Looking for a career change he took on a new challenge as a Sales Representative for a leading Machine Tooling company, liaising with engineers and developing highly valuable customer service skills. After two years in this role, Michael had the opportunity to join the sales team at one of the previous NSW Caterpillar dealers, Gough & Gilmore (G&G). Here, Michael developed experience and knowledge in inspecting, quoting and developing maintenance strategies to the undercarriage of mining machinery.
